In recent weeks, some portals have taken for granted the progress of negotiations regarding the acquisition of GOL by Azul Linhas Aéreas.

Despite speculation, no airline representative had yet made an official announcement on the matter, but this Friday (03/05) the president of Azul, Abhi Shah, commented on the SEE Business.

According to the executive, the airline denies any negotiations by Azul to acquire GOL, stating that the company is focused on purchasing more aircraft and internationalizing the brand.

“We are looking at the market, but our investment focus is now on purchasing aircraft and internationalizing the brand”, said Abhi Shah, during the event The 100 most influential companies in Brazil, from SEE Business. GOL, in turn, has not commented on the matter so far.
