The interior of São Paulo has just gained another direct connection with Minas Gerais with the opening of two routes at Confins Airport (BH Airport): BH – Ribeirão Preto and BH – São José do Rio Preto. Companhia Azul Linhas Aéreas will operate the two routes, which will have two daily flights and will be carried out with the ATR 72-600 aircraft, with capacity for 70 Customers. Tickets are now on sale and flights to Ribeirão Preto start in August, while those to São José do Rio Preto start in October.

O Connectivity and Aviation Manager at BH Airport, Clayton Begido, highlights that these are highly sought after routes as they facilitate the Minas Gerais-São Paulo connection. Furthermore, they become another connection option for those who are in the interior of São Paulo and want to travel to other destinations in the country via BH Airport.

Azul's General Manager of Planning and Strategy, Vitor Silva, also reinforces the potential of routes to drive growth in connected regions. “The new routes are a reflection of our commitment to offering affordable and convenient travel options for our customers. We are confident that this initiative will contribute to boosting the economic, social and tourist development of the communities served by this route,” he states.

The route BH – Ribeirão Preto will also be operated by Voepass from July 5th. Flights will take place once a week, leaving Belo Horizonte on Mondays, at 7am, and arriving in Ribeirão Preto at 8:25am. In the opposite direction, the scheduled takeoff from Ribeirão Preto is on Fridays, at 19pm, and arrival in Belo Horizonte at 20:25pm. The flights will be carried out with an ATR 72 aircraft, with capacity to transport 70 passengers. Tickets are now on sale through the company's distribution channels and commercial partners.
