GOL announces flights between Brasília and Bogotá in October

GOL Linhas Aéreas will expand its operations in Bogotá (BOG), its newest international destination. Days after starting regular routes between the Colombian capital and São Paulo/Guarulhos and Buenos Aires/Ezeiza, GOL announced its intention to establish flights connecting Brasília and Bogotá from October 27th. The announcement was made this Wednesday (17), in Bogotá, at an event attended by the Brazilian and Colombian presidents, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Gustavo Petro. 

The new flight between the two national capitals meets the growing demand for transporting Customers, cargo and e-commerce between the two countries, and is an incentive for trade, tourism and wealth generation in both Brazil and Colombia. 

GOL has already started the necessary procedures to obtain the slots for flights between El Dorado (BOG) and Juscelino Kubitschek (BSB) international airports and is awaiting authorization from regulatory bodies in both countries. Ticket sales should start in the first half of 2024. Frequencies and times will be announced in due course. 

The operation between Brasília and Bogotá will be a milestone for Brazil and Colombia, connecting two of GOL and Avianca's main operating hubs. From the two capitals, the two companies serve more than 80 destinations with 310 daily departures

From Brasília, GOL Customers from 26 other Brazilian cities will have fast connections to Colombia. In Bogotá, passengers will also have connections to more than 30 destinations operated by Avianca, such as Cartagena, Quito, Medellín, San José, Barranquilla, Mexico City, Cali, Guayaquil, San Salvador, Guatemala City, Mexico City, Panama, Santo Domingo, among others. 

Brasília airport is key to GOL's international operations and Bogotá will add to the daily flights that the Company already operates to Miami and Orlando, expanding options for Brasilia residents who wish to travel to Latin America and the United States.
