In the early evening of this Friday (9), one of GOL's longest operating planes is leaving the fleet: a 737-700.
Previously registered PR-GON, this aircraft began operations at GOL in February 2002, spending more than two decades with the company.
Interestingly, this 737-700 had not performed regular flights since the end of December 2021, where it was stored at Confins Airport for just over two years, a time when several planes had the same fate due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Before leaving Brazil via Confins Airport (CNF), the aircraft gained the registration number N351AE belonging to the Bank of Utah Trustee, as well as having its visual identity changed.
Now, GOL has only 15 units of Boeing 737-700, according to data from the website Planespotters.net, a trend that should continue with the arrival of new 737 MAX 8s, even though the company has filed a request for judicial recovery (Chapter 11) in the United States.
