Azul had its services recognized by yet another international award. This time, the company will be awarded at the 50th edition of the ATW Airline Industry Achievement Awards in the “Leadership in the Airline Market” category. The trophies will be awarded on May 31st, in the city of Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates.
The company was honored for its commitment to operational excellence, innovation and customer service. “Since 2008, Azul has contributed to doubling the aviation market in Brazil. With world-class customer service and operational excellence, we continue to expand and connect Brazil like never before,” said John Rodgerson, CEO of Azul.
In 15 years of operation, Azul has become a leader in Brazil and South America, serving more than 160 destinations domestically, in addition to operating in the United States and Europe. Another aspect of the operation that was recognized with the award is the company's investment in markets that were not served by commercial aviation, especially in more isolated cities in the North and Northeast, in addition to customer service with free Wi-Fi internet, varied snacks and live television.
In January, Azul also received the 'Restructuring Deal of the Year' award. The ceremony took place in Dublin, during the 13th meeting of industry leaders, organized by Airline Economics. The restructuring was also recognized with the Liability Management Deal of The Year award, at the Bonds & Loans Latin America & Caribbean Awards, which took place last year. Furthermore, Alex Malfitani was elected 'CFO of the Year' at the 2023 Equilibrista Awards, granted by the Brazilian Institute of Finance Executives (IBEF-SP), one of the sector's main honors.
