Eve Air Mobility today (8) revealed a teaser video of its first full-scale eVTOL prototype, as it continues production of the aircraft at its plant in Brazil. Eve released the teaser video on its social media channels and will continue to share updates on its progress in the coming months.
Eve stands out for being born from Embraer-X, Embraer's business and innovation accelerator. This connection allows Eve to utilize Embraer's extensive experience of over 50 years in aircraft development, design and certification to enhance its own eVTOL. Additionally, customers will benefit from accessing an established global network of service and support centers, which is critical to ensuring safe, efficient and reliable operations.
Eve's eVTOL uses a takeoff and cruise configuration (Lift + Cruise) with dedicated rotors for vertical flight and fixed wings for cruising, without the need for transition components during flight. The latest concept includes an electric thruster powered by dual electric motors that provide propulsion redundancy, ensuring high performance and safety. In addition to offering several advantages, such as low operating costs, fewer parts, optimized structures and systems, it was developed to offer thrust efficiency with low noise.
Last year, Eve revealed that its first eVTOL factory will be established in the city of Taubaté, in São Paulo. The company has started assembling the first full-scale eVTOL prototype, which will continue the testing campaign. Eve has LOIs for nearly 3.000 eVTOLs and the aircraft is expected to enter service in 2026.
