See where to watch the final delivery of the Boeing 747

Boeing 747-8 Atlas Air last produced flight Brazil Guarulhos

Today's date (31) will certainly be remembered for years as one of the most emblematic in the history of aviation. For Boeing will definitively end the production of the 'Queen of Heaven' with its 1.574th and last delivery of the type.

Due to the special moment, Boeing is preparing more than one delivery, the manufacturer will hold a special celebration that will involve current and retired employees, as well as suppliers who helped to track the production of the iconic quadjet nicknamed Jumbo.

With that, Boeing will broadcast the special event live, making the recording available for those who cannot follow it live (click here to access).

The last aircraft to be delivered will be the N863GT, a Boeing 747-8F from Altas Air. Since the end of 2022, the plane has carried out 5 test flights and was expected to be delivered at last year's lights out, however, Boeing opted to postpone delivery given the historic moment.

Interestingly, the N863GT has a sticker on the fuselage in honor of Joe Sutter, considered the father of the Boeing 747

For enthusiasts on duty, the Boeing event is scheduled to start around 18 pm (Brasília time). Upon delivery, the N863GT will be jointly operated by Atlas Air and Apex Logistics.

With the delivery of the Boeing 747-8F registration N863GT to Atlas Air, the North American manufacturer will end 747 production with 1.574 aircraft delivered over 55 years. Leaving the reign of the largest aircraft in production to the Boeing 777, both for passengers and cargo.
