BRT Lounges opens the first VIP lounge at Porto Seguro Airport

BRT Lounges, a company from the BRT group, consolidated in the tourism market, officially opens, on May 7th, the brand's first VIP lounge at Porto Seguro Airport (BA). The development is also the first airport VIP lounge in Brazil with an outdoor environment.

With modern architecture in the shape of a tent, the new space, with capacity for 74 people seated, is 250 m² and is located outside the airport, just 50 meters from the terminal's entrance door.

The partner and CEO of BRT Lounges, André Luiz Macias, states that the first VIP Lounge offers a complete and cozy structure for the well-being of tourists and visitors, individuals or families, for leisure or work. “Every detail has been thought of to enrich the customer experience.”

The executive highlights that the BRT Lounges in Porto Seguro is the first airport VIP lounge in the country located outdoors. “It was created in a harmonious way with the characteristics of the surrounding nature, awakening the senses. The experience involves the environment, excellent service, the quality of the furniture, the cuisine, fast internet and constant news to delight customers.”

At Porto Seguro airport (BA), the BRT Lounges VIP lounge has a refined design and the proposal goes beyond the commonplace and revolutionizes the way of receiving visitors. It is a democratic, comfortable, casual and different environment. The space has a large living room, six bathrooms, showers, flight panels and creations that value the integration of environments and contemplative experimentation.

Creative solutions set the tone for the room, which attracts attention with its beauty. The hall is tent-shaped with canvas tensioned by steel cables attached to metal pillars; the wooden ceiling is revealed on three levels; the room dividers in the hall are made of gabion; the floor is burnt cement; and the furniture is from the Artefacto brand. The focused orange light and natural lighting make everything Instagrammable.

Marco Aurélio Di Ruzze, vice-president of the BRT Group, says that BRT Lounges has given new meaning to the concept of an airport VIP lounge. “We took the experience to a new level.” In addition to the differences in the environment, the service is also highlighted: the gastronomic part includes everything from light and quick meals to more immersive experiences based on the flavors of the destination; The menu contains dishes that are masterpieces of Bahian cuisine, such as Moqueca de Peixe and Moqueca de Banana. “Regional gastronomy is the protagonist of BRT Lounges’ VIP rooms as much as the drinks section. We also have a wine cellar curated by restaurateur Raphael Zanette, from the Vino! restaurant, our partner BRT Lounges. Customers can taste and buy their preferred labels”, adds Di Ruzze.

The BRT Lounges VIP room is accessed in different ways, explains André Luiz. “We have partnerships with the Dragon Pass program and for passengers who want to enjoy the lounge, without participating in card benefits, the value is USD$32 (converted to Brazilian currency at the time of access, at the commercial exchange rate of the day), for passenger, children up to 3 years old do not pay. The VIP lounge can also be experienced through special premium packages from Grupo BRT and its agencies and partnerships with airlines, hotels and other market players.

Eraldo Palmerini, founder and president of Grupo BRT, says he is very optimistic about the expansion of VIP lounges in Brazil. “The BRT Lounges standard will be present throughout the country. We are investing to open VIP lounges in all airports that provide adequate conditions. We are working hard to grow this new company, which has total synergy with the BRT Group's main business – quality service to travel agencies and a difference for passengers”, he says, remembering that the country has 130 VIP lounges of airports, 50 of which are in the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. “We have a lot to grow”, adds Palmerini.

The next openings of BRT Lounges will take place in May in the cities of Cuiabá and Sinop (MT), in addition to two new units in Belo Horizonte (MG), in July this year.
