Azul set up a special operation across the country to collect and transport donations to residents of Rio Grande do Sul impacted by the rains.
In a joint operation with the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), the company will carry out the first humanitarian flight with supplies and essential items collected for the city of Canoas (RS), this Wednesday (8). The flight will be carried out on the Brazilian-made Embraer E1 aircraft.
The flight will depart from Viracopos airport, in Campinas, which is the focal point for inputs received at more than 500 collection points organized by the company, including airports, Azul Viagens and Azul Cargo stores. Then, at 12pm, it will pass through the São Paulo Air Base, in Guarulhos, to supply more donations. The aircraft will leave Guarulhos at 12pm and arrive in the city of Canoas at 15:10pm.
