Dassault opens new Maintenance unit at São Paulo Catarina International Executive Airport

Dassault maintenance Catarina Executive Airport

Dassault Falcon Jet, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, today opened a new MRO facility at São Paulo Catarina International Executive Airport in Brazil. The new Dassault Falcon Jet São Paulo-Catarina complex replaces the Sorocaba facility opened in 2009.

São Paulo-Catarina consists of almost 3.600 square meters (40.000 square feet) of physical and office space, can accommodate up to five Falcons simultaneously and is large enough for the Falcon 10X. Level 'B' inspections can be carried out for Brazilian-registered Falcons in the Falcon 7X/8X and Falcon 2000 families, as well as a pre-purchase evaluation (PPE) program for those considering a pre-owned Falcon.

The facility is certified as a Repair Station by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) of Brazil, the FAA, EASA, as well as the airworthiness authorities of Argentina, Bermuda and Uruguay. It is authorized to perform line maintenance and most major inspections on Falcon 50, 900 and 2000 series models, as well as the Falcon 7X and 8X.

In addition to airframe inspections and services, the facility can perform maintenance on the CFE-738 engine lineup; Honeywell TFE731 and Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307A, PW307D and PW308C models. It can also perform specialized non-destructive testing (NDT) procedures such as penetrant and eddy current testing. A full-service battery shop that can repair, replace or charge main and emergency batteries on Falcon and other aircraft models.

The site will continue to support AOG with 'Go Team' providing rapid mobile response directly to an aircraft located anywhere in South America, with the parts and tools needed to get a Falcon flying with minimal delay.

A short distance from São Paulo, Catarina Executive International Airport is Brazil's first international airport dedicated to executive aviation. The airport has instrument approaches to its 8.100-foot (2.470-meter) long runway.

Continued Expansion

Over the past five years, Dassault Aviation has more than doubled global support capacity, significantly modernized MRO capabilities for more than 60 service locations and 15 parts distribution centers worldwide, as well as the GoTeams required to support to customer aircraft 24/7, wherever they are.

This is part of a strategy that aims to keep Dassault as close as possible to our customers and offer all the services necessary to maximize the uptime and value of your Falcon fleet.

Other projects include:

• Construction of a new major US MRO center in Melbourne, Florida to support Falcons operating in North and South America. This center will open in 2025.

• Added capacity in the Northeast US with another authorized service center, Pro Star Aviation, located near Boston.

Additionally, the company recently opened a major new MRO center at Dubai World Central Airport and Kuala Lumpur, both under the ExecuJet MRO brand, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation.
