Emirates SkyCargo has added two Boeing 747-400F aircraft to its freighter fleet, showing its strong confidence in the global cargo market despite the current volatile environment.
Emirates' cargo division is expected to add 15 more freighters to its fleet, as a result of new orders and its freighter conversion programme, in addition to the increase in cargo capacity related to the recent delivery of passenger aircraft starting with the Airbus aircraft. A350 in 2024, and then 777-X aircraft the following year.
Over the next decade, Emirates SkyCargo expects to double its current capacity, add more than 20 new destinations to its freighter network and offer even more flexibility and service to its customers with a fleet mix of more than 300 wide-body aircraft including 777 aircraft. , 777-F, 747-F, A350 and A380.
Secured under a long-term, crew-inclusive lease, the two Boeing 747-F aircraft complement Emirates SkyCargo's current fleet of 11 Boeing 777 Freighters and are currently flying to Chicago three times a week and Hong Kong nine times a week. .
