Azul transported more than 11 million passengers on 125 flights leaving Brasília

Azul has just celebrated a significant milestone in its operational trajectory in the federal capital. Since the beginning of its operations in 2010, the company has transported more than 11 million Customers and carried out more than 125 thousand flights from Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek International Airport, playing an important role in the city's air connectivity.

With the purpose of strengthening air connectivity in the region, Azul recently expanded its destination network from Brasília, adding three new routes. In February this year, the company launched the service that connects the capital to Belém (PA). In December 2023, it began operations in Natal (RN), followed by Congonhas (SP) in March last year.

Over the years, the company has offered a wide variety of destinations departing from the federal capital. In addition to those mentioned, Azul also serves four other destinations from Brasília: Cuiabá (MT), Recife (PE), Belo Horizonte (MG) and Viracopos (SP), the last three being the company's main connection hubs.

“In celebration of Brasília's anniversary, celebrated on April 21, and to mark 14 years of operations in the region, Azul reiterates its commitment to the country's capital. We work to contribute to the development and connectivity of this important Brazilian metropolis”, highlights Vitor Silva, General Manager of Planning and Strategy at Azul.

Brasília, as the capital of Brazil, is an extremely important political and cultural center, playing a fundamental role in the country's connectivity. Brasília International Airport is a key part of the national air transport infrastructure, acting as a departure and arrival point for millions of passengers annually.
