With 50% of vacancies for women, registration is now open for the free pilot course

ANAC Women's Airplane Pilot Course

The Federal Rural University of the Semi-Arid (Ufersa) has opened registrations for the extension course for civil aviation pilots within the Pilots of the Semi-Arid project, one of the actions of the Wings for All Program, launched in April by the Federal Government. The registration deadline is May 31st.

Aimed at low-income people, the course is free and offers 20 places, 10 of which are preferably aimed at women. The objective is to ensure complete training for commercial airline pilots with a focus on diversity and inclusion. Thus, the project strengthens aeronautical education and democratizes access to pilot training in the country.

The course will be in person and aims to train pilots up to the stage of obtaining a Commercial Airplane Pilot license (PCM) and Single Engine Land (MNTE), Multiengine Land (MLTE) and Instrument Flight (IFRA) qualifications. Furthermore, the training will provide students with technical knowledge of the English language, preparing them for o Santos Dumont English Assessment (SDEA) .

Candidates for vacancies are exempt from registration fees and registration for those selected will also be free. Those approved will only have to cover accommodation, food and travel costs, as the course will be taught in Mossoró (RN), the municipality where Ufersa is headquartered.

In the first stage, 200 candidates will be pre-selected, preferably 100 men and 100 women. The project will be responsible for paying the fees for the Private Airplane Pilot (PPR) theoretical exam. Of these 200, 20 will be selected: 10 women and 10 men. Another 80 will remain on reserve registration.

To register, the candidate must be over 18 years old, be registered in the Single Registry (CadÚnico), be Brazilian, have completed higher education or be in the process of completing it (missing a maximum of two periods) and not have an airplane pilot's license . Registration will be done via specific electronic form.

All information about the selection process, including the notice, is available on Guimarães Duque Foundation portal.

Wings for Everyone

Launched on April 2, the program is a partnership between the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and the Ministry of Ports and Airports and aims to transform Brazilian civil aviation through education. Formed by three axes (training and training, diversity and inclusion and women in aviation), Asas para Todos proposes a great pact for diversity and social inclusion in the airline sector.

The program has the participation of companies in the airline sector, universities and federal education institutes and Federal Government bodies.
