Azul transported 191 thousand passengers in its first year of flights to Paris

Azul celebrates tomorrow, Friday (26), the first anniversary of its operations in Paris. Since the launch of the flight, 308 flights have been carried out to the French capital and more than 191 thousand Customers have chosen Azul to travel to the City of Lights.

Initially with six frequencies, the route to Paris now operates seven weekly flights due to high demand. Flights depart from Viracopos International Airport, in Campinas (SP), at 17:50 pm, arriving, non-stop, at Orly Airport at 10:20 am. In the opposite direction, they depart from Orly at 12:50 pm, arriving in Campinas at 19:50 pm.

Viracopos Airport is Azul's main hub, connecting flights to more than 160 national and international destinations. Paris-Orly Airport, the second largest in France, receives more than 30 million passengers per year and is located less than 20km south of Paris. Orly is served by trains with metro connections, as well as public transport buses, taxis, transfers and urban mobility apps. Furthermore, from June 2024, it will be possible to travel between Orly airport and Paris, and vice versa, using line 14, in just 40 minutes. 

 

Blue at the Paris Olympic Games 

In March, Azul announced that it will be the official airline sponsor of Team Brazil at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. For three months, from June to August, the company resumes its partnership with famous chef Claude Troisgros, who will sign, exclusively , the onboard lunch and dinner menu for Business and Economy classes, as was done in 2023, for the inauguration of the route.  

With a menu that values ​​Brazilian ingredients and is prepared with classic French culinary techniques, Claude, a Frenchman living in Brazil, grandson and son of chefs, joins Azul to bring sports fans and customers closer to their hosts through taste. French.
