F-117 Nightawk seen and re-registered during flight over Death Valley

Again an F-117 Nightawk was seen and recorded flying through the Death Valley area. The photographer, Toshihiko Shimizu, shared on his social networks three photos of the secret American stealth plane that was retired in 2008. The fact happened around 9:30 am on the last day of the 18th.

In an interview with The Aviationist website, Shimizu said it was at the “East end of Star Wars Canyon. At 9:36 am I found a black shadow in the sky on the west side of the canyon. After I looked into my camera, I found the F-117. It came from the south, then turned right and headed north. 5 minutes later it turned south again and flew the same course. 10:27, returned again from the south. It seemed to go in the same direction. After that, he never came back.”

It is not the first time that classic US stealth planes have appeared flying despite official retirement in 2008. Last year had cases of sightings and photographic records of the Nightawk about this region in the US.

And such appearances make many think about the reason for the flights, since they were no longer supposed to be happening. As it is an important aircraft for stealth technology and was the basis for others such as the F-22 Raptor and the B-2A Spirit bomber, it is believed that it is still used for testing new technologies to be used in the future. , but the reason for these flights is not known for sure.
