Embraer and US airline sign collaborative parts inventory agreement

Embraer Alaska Horizon parts agreement

Embraer and Horizon Air have signed an agreement for the Embraer Collaborative Inventory Planning Program (ECIP). ECIP is a customized spare parts flow management platform designed to support customers in reducing operational costs by optimizing inventory levels.

The agreement guarantees support for the 41 E175 jets in the Horizon Air fleet that operate at the airline's hub in Portland (Oregon), USA, under the Alaska Airlines flag. The contract also includes the nine E175s to be delivered by Embraer to Horizon Air, totaling coverage for 50 aircraft.

“We are delighted to welcome Horizon Air to the Embraer Collaborative Inventory Planning Program. ECIP was created to support our customers by supporting efficiency gains and reducing inventory costs across all operations. This is even more important for airlines like Horizon Air, which combine large fleets and rapid growth”, says Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Serviços & Apoio.

ECIP offers multiple advantages to customers. Firstly, the majority of investment in inventories is made by Embraer, substantially reducing the investment made by airlines. Additionally, annual pricing for each part allows customers to balance costs more accurately, with performance levels guaranteed by Embraer Services & Support.

ECIP's operation is data driven, with weekly recommendations based on customer usage and stock level data, which are created using advanced software and Embraer Planning experience shared collaboratively. Finally, all airlines participating in ECIP can count on Embraer's material services management experience and a global logistics network with the best performance on the market.
