LATAM announced last Wednesday (25) the withdrawal of the acquisition of Boeing 737 jets, after the end of negotiations with GOL, as published in Reuters.
The decision appears to be the final chapter in the face of GOL's accusation that LATAM wanted to take over its aircraft and pilots shortly after announcing the your Judicial Recovery in the United States (Chapter 11).
LATAM announced GOL's 'lack of significant involvement' in advancing negotiations, where the Group would commit to acquiring Boeing 737 units that GOL no longer had an interest in operating.
The Group announced that it made “extensive efforts” to obtain Boeing 737 aircraft, but with the shortage of aircraft of the model and the failure to negotiate with GOL, the Group sought other alternatives to expand its single-aisle fleet.
